Mankato Clinic is seeking a BC/BE Ophthalmologist to join three ophthalmologists and one optometrist in a busy clinical practice. A comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in medical retina or glaucoma is desired. Fellowship-trained medical retina specialists are also encouraged to apply. We offer an ideal opportunity to join an established practice with low physician turnover.

Our physician-owned multi-specialty group has a large primary care referral base, competitive compensation, and generous benefits. We have strong support staff including seven Certified Ophthalmic Assistants, six ophthalmic assistants, and seven scribes, managed by a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. The Eye Care Center includes an onsite optical shop.

We use state-of-the-art equipment, including Haag Streit slit lamps, Keeler wireless indirect, and Reliant chairs and stands in all provider lanes. We have 17 exam lanes and advanced diagnostic tools such as Zeiss Cirrus OCT and IOL Master 700. Lasers available in the clinic include Ellex Tango (YAG / SLT) and Zeiss 532s Argon.

Work/life balance is an important part of our culture. Annual physician turnover averages 4%, well below industry norms. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Full-time is 32 Patient Contact Hours weekly with 4 hours of administrative time, and a four-day workweek option is available. We offer 35 vacation days annually, and our clinics are closed on major holidays. Mankato Clinic also features a generous health benefits plan, $6,600 CME allowance annually, and profit-sharing 401(k). Partnership is offered after one year of employment with minimal buy-in.
