- Lead and supervise a team of 12-15 hourly union employees in a 24/7 facility
- Coordinate safety and quality activities for your production line
- Conduct daily and monthly safety briefings with your team
- Resolve issues arising from equipment breakdowns, scheduling changes, and procedural updates
- Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient operations
- Enforce company and department policies effectively
- Spend 85-90% of your time on the floor, working hands-on with your team
- Prepare and plan for upcoming shift needs
- Assess team fitness for duty to meet safety requirements
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience supervising 5-15 people in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills, particularly in managing union teams
- Proactive mindset with the ability to plan ahead and think on your feet
- Manufacturing industry experience, preferably in heavy industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work rotating swing shifts in a 24/7 facility
- Grit and adaptability (military experience is highly valued)
- Hands-on approach with the ability to balance floor work and administrative tasks
