Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Organizational Change Manager:
The Organizational Change Manager will use change management principles and practices to lead and manage the change management activities and integrate change and user adoption initiatives for a large-scale department transition and transformation project. Under the direction of our client’s Project Management Office (PMO), this position will provide direct support to the project manager and project team overseeing the successful delivery of the project. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth transition and adoption of new processes, systems, and structures within the IT department. Activities may include assessing potential change impacts, developing change management plans, identifying, and analyzing key stakeholders, tailoring communication to agency stakeholders, training, risk management, and collaboration with other teams to ensure coordination, and feedback collection.
Required Skills for the Organizational Change Manager:
- 6+ years’ experience in IT operations with change management knowledge
- 5+ years’ experience in change management within large scale transformation projects
- Change management certification (Prosci, CMAP, etc.)
