Highlights:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries related to the musculoskeletal system.
- Surgical and non-surgical options to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care
- Contribute to health promotion and disease prevention programs to enhance overall patient outcomes.
- Ensure the latest advancements in orthopedic care are integrated into the practice.
- X-ray on site in the practice
- EPIC EMR
- CMA, LPN, and Nurse Navigator practice support
- Typical day would include:
- A mix of patient care, surgery, and administrative tasks.
- Reviewing patient charts and prepping for scheduled surgeries.
- Procedures, such as joint replacements, fracture repairs, or arthroscopic surgeries
- Seeing patients in the clinic, conducting examinations, diagnosing conditions, and discussing treatment options, including both surgical and non-surgical approaches.
- Follow-up care to post-operative patients to monitor recovery and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Consultation with other medical professionals, review imaging studies, and update patient records.
- Dedicated to teaching residents, participating in medical research, or attending meetings related to hospital administration or patient care protocols.
- End of day - review the outcomes of surgeries, plan for upcoming cases, and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Average patient load is 18-22/day
- Shared call 1:4 with two employed providers and contracted orthopedic group
