Key Responsibilities
- Recruit potential youth participants for all Youth Services Programs.
- Aid in developing relationships with Boston Public high schools and middle schools for continuous outreach possibilities.
- Work with managers to identify, develop and maintain outreach/recruitment calendar.
- Monitor activities to ensure effective implementation according to program goals and objectives: Identify schools, health/social, civic/cultural and non-traditional events for outreach and recruitment of the target populations.
- Attend any event with potential participants and maintain recruitment lists for follow up calls and outreach activities.
- Support in the identification and development of collaborations/partnerships with social-service agencies and non-traditional partners to increase awareness of youth services programs.
- Assist with the ordering program supplies for outreach/recruitment, preparation of supplies for outreach/recruitment and maintenance of inventory.
- In collaboration with Intake Specialist ensure full completion of application for youth by implementing and tracking follow up strategies.
- Connect participants’ guardians, school counselors, social worker or any other partner to Youth Services Case Managers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of experience in human services required.
- A bachelor’s degree in education, social work or other related human services field is preferred.
- Familiarity with the greater Boston area community, social service agencies, and non-traditional partners.
- Willingness to travel and work extensively in diverse neighborhoods.
- Knowledge and skill using electronic database and spreadsheets; including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to work with groups and individuals of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
