What we’re seeking:
This position is responsible for providing support analysis and oversight for key metrics in the Central Region Engineering organization. The primary focus will be acting as a SPOC for their respective organizations and acting as an interface with area engineering leaders to assist in tracking engineering and progression toward monthly goals for both FTTH brownfield initiatives and BAU engineering. They will help monitor the work funnel for contractors and ensure proper reporting. They will also play a role in capital and expense budget analysis, developing methods and procedures, play a role in managing vendor performance, and other similar performance metrics necessary for the successful focus of department resources.
This role supports engineering leadership across all states in the Central Region and will work closely with those team members who depend on this information to perform their roles effectively. As such this person should have a background in the disciplines being analyzed so that real-world conditions are factored into the reporting format and performance expectations and recommendations. In this in-person role, you will be required to report to either Carrollton, IL, or Jacksonville, IL to complete your work responsibilities.

Provides operational or technical support in the development, analysis, and maintenance of systems, software, processes, products or equipment. Generally, follows established/documented approaches to issues and problems.
- Applies a general understanding of existing technologies and capabilities to address individual project requirements
- Demonstrates basic understanding of the requirements of the role. Regularly uses available tools and systems without direct oversight. Understands the role the team plays in achieving Frontier's objectives.
- Frequently completes assigned tasks independently and with little work-error. Exhibits desire to learn more about the technology and takes steps to improve speed and accuracy
What you’ll do:
- Work with peer members of the support team to establish effective monitoring and performance guidance reports and tools to assist engineering manager in achieving their performance objectives
- Manage assigned performance metric reports and oversight directly with those dependent support groups. Report generation and interaction as required by each measured function
- Provide recommendations for process improvement for reporting and actual work performance to drive quality and efficiency results

What background you should have:
- OSP Construction and Engineering and Planning knowledge
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Preferred five (5) years experience in the telecommunications field with qualified exposure to various fields of engineering
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Preferred education would be a bachelor’s degree in related fields
- Physical demands involve working extended hours where necessary, being able to work at a computer station for extended periods
