Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Sales and in conjunction with the Engineering Departments, the Industrial Machine Tools Sales Engineer will prospect and rapidly develop/grow new business accounts, in addition to maintaining existing business accounts, in an effort to continue to grow the department, increase sales volume, market share and profitability. The ideal candidate will be able to develop influential relationships with customers, purchasing contacts and strengthen internal relationships across a variety of departments.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Create / develop innovative methods to successfully prospect and develop new customers within his/her assigned territory;
Develop new sales leads, prepare quotes for customers and prospective customers and provide related technical support as required;
Establish sales forecasts and secure sales orders according to performance goals;
Attend and participate in tradeshows;
Educate customers on products, proper application of products and assist them with product selection, based on specific needs;
Assist customers with service requests.
Qualifications:
3 – 5 years of proven outside sales experience in industrial machine tools and building strong business relationships;
Technical experience in CNC machine tools, preferred;
Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar discipline; Bachelor’s Degree, a plus;
Knowledge of preparing computerized spreadsheets via Excel and customer presentation programs;
Computer savvy and experience with the MS Office suite of products;
Maintain current knowledge regarding company’s products, services and ability to utilize that knowledge with the communication to customers/partners effectively in determining customer/partner needs therein;
Astute oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Exceptional time management, organizational, accuracy, multi-tasking, attention to detail, problem-solving, presentation, customer service and follow-through skills;
Ability to work effectively alone and within a collaborative team environment.
Compensation:
$70,000 - $85,000 DOE draw, plus commission, for this full-time, exempt position, with unlimited earning potential.
Total annual compensation should be $190K - $250K+ for an experienced sales person in this sector.
Benefits:80 hours of annual paid vacation during years 1-5 (pro-rated on start date) allocated in a lump sum after 90 days of employment and/or on January 1 thereafter;
40 hours of annual paid personal time, allotted in a lump sum after 90 days of employment and/or on January 1 thereafter;
3 Medical Insurance Plans to include:
HSA Core Plan paid 75% for the employee and employee’s dependents;
HSA Standard Plan paid 75% for employee and 60% for employee’s dependents;
PPO Buy-Up Plan in which employee pays the difference in coverage of 75% for employee and 60% for employee’s dependents;
Dental, vision insurance paid 75% for the employee and employee’s dependents;
Basic life and AD&D insurance of $25Kfor employee;
Supplemental life, disability and accident insurance paid 100% by employee;

Working Hours:
8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday with flexibility as necessary.
