Position Overview: The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales and expanding our client base by building strong relationships with customers in the assigned territory. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently, demonstrate product knowledge, and provide tailored solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, designers, and homeowners to understand their flooring needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Product Demonstrations: Present and demonstrate flooring products to clients, highlighting features, benefits, and installation processes.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using [insert CRM software, if applicable].
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to provide feedback on customer preferences and assist in promotional efforts.
- After-Sales Support: Ensure customer satisfaction by following up post-sales, addressing any issues, and ensuring repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and trust with clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Attributes: Self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
