About the Job
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative with expertise in physical security solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business, managing client relationships, and promoting our range of physical security products and services, including access control, surveillance systems, intrusion detection, and other security solutions. This role requires strong sales acumen, technical knowledge of security systems, and the ability to build long-term partnerships with clients.
responsibilities
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and lead generation within the physical security industry.
- Present and sell security products and services, including access control systems, video surveillance, alarm systems, and related security technologies.
- Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs, providing expert consultation on the most effective security measures.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Provide ongoing support to clients, including follow-up on sales leads, post-sale service, and problem resolution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all client-related issues, ensuring timely responses and excellent customer service.
- Product Knowledge and Training:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's physical security product offerings and stay updated on new technologies and industry trends.
- Educate clients on the technical aspects and benefits of the security solutions, conducting product demonstrations as needed.
- Attend industry trade shows, seminars, and conferences to promote products and network with potential clients.
- Sales Targets and Reporting:
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, working with management to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts and reports, tracking sales performance and pipeline activities.
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop strategic sales initiatives and marketing campaigns.
- Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities within the physical security industry.
- Use market insights to develop competitive sales strategies and to differentiate the company's offerings.
- Gather customer feedback to continuously improve products and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the physical security industry.
- Knowledge of physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, alarm systems, and other related security technologies.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing strong customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
