Outside Sales Representative Wilsonville - Rugby Architectural Building Products

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 27 branches throughout the United States. We primarily sell wood-based products for our customers to make beautiful, nature-inspired goods that accent architectural designs for home and business.

Position: We are growing! We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative, responsible for selling our product to our customers. You will support established customers as well as developing new customer relationships across all our Industrial product lines including hardwood lumber, veneer, plywood, millwork, and cabinetry.

• Compensation: After an introductory period which includes a salary guarantee, the compensation for this position is entirely commission based, with a draw against future commissions. We estimate an annual compensation between $80,000 and $135,000+.

Your Day-to-Day: to excel in this role, you will need to...

• Sell our products to current customers in the region through a focus on customer service. In charge of sales throughout the territory, you will be rewarded based on your ability to manage sales throughout the region and customer base.
• Grow sales by increasing our customer base to new customers - as an Outside Sales Representative you will be expected to call on potential new customers throughout the territory.
• Communicate the needs of the customer with the branch to better ensure optimized product mix and increase future sales.
• Communicate with inside sales staff to ensure a coordinated and synchronized sales effort. Our Outside Sales Representatives lead the conversation and develop our business through sales growth and customer service.
• Accompany vendors’ sales representatives as needed, calling on appropriate customer accounts to satisfy vendor concerns.

• You have a minimum of 6-10 years sales experience, ideally in an outside sales or territory sales representative role, and ideally in the construction sales industry or building materials industry.
• You have knowledge of millwork and understand 2-step distribution.
• You can travel as needed throughout the territory.
• You have excellent customer service skills, with knowledge of DMSi Agility software a plus.
• As you will be driving a company vehicle, we consider this a Safety Sensitive position, subject to routine drug screening.
