Schedule: P/T Saturday and Sunday Overnight
Compensation: $25.24 / hr + Limited Benefits

Job Summary:
Are you looking for a fast-paced environment? Somewhere that you will feel you are actively making a difference. Look no further! We are looking for a P/T Unarmed Security Shift Supervisor (Third Shift) to join our TEAM at one of the most exclusive gated communities in North Scottsdale. As the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for safeguarding one of our premier clients' properties. Additionally, the shift supervisor will ensure the on-duty team (6 unarmed security officers) arrives on time, in uniform, and ready to assume post. The Supervisor will also be the primary contact for any incidents or complaints received from the residents or staff while on duty. The Supervisor should identify any incidents which require further communication and notify account management or client staff. Supervisors will also be the primary contact for any non-planned schedule adjustments (call-offs, tardiness, etc.) and will make short-notice plans to minimize overtime and prevent any lost time.
Duties and Skills:
- Provide values-based leadership to optimize staff effectiveness in serving the client’s community members. This means working and leading in alignment with the company’s core values, principles and beliefs.
- Must be willing to attend and pass an Emergency Medical Responder(EMR) course, which will be provided at no cost after employment.
- Must be willing to capture all types of snakes from resident properties and relocate to nearby desert areas. (Training and safety equipment provided)
- Provide guidance and counsel on employee-related matters.
- Assists on issues regarding shift schedules, call-offs, dispatch issues, scheduling conflicts and open positions.
- Communicates, in person or by phone, with Scheduler on providing staffing, scheduling and attendance issues. Make reasonable, feasible and supportable recommendations/ ideas and/or decision-making on scheduling after hours if possible.
- Ensure no lost time by assisting with applying proactive scheduling techniques when possible.
- Immediately notifies the Account Manager on the following incidents: employee injury or accident, fire, major emergency presence, arrests, major theft and/or property damage.
- Provide telephonic or written notification of client complaints and personnel issues to Account Management immediately upon receipt.
- Required to respond to emergency incidents when and if necessary, work with other responding agencies (Police, Fire, etc.) to coordinate and assist in response.
- Reports allegations of employee misconduct to include harassment and discrimination claims. To reduce organizational risk and exposure, immediately address and report, deviations, and non-conformances.
- Advise the Account Manager on employee relations matters, including progressive disciplinary issues and performance management.
- Enforce policies that seek to increase retention rates by fostering employee job satisfaction and high morale.
- Create and maintain proactive and effective relationships with team members, resident, and client staff to ensure a strong working relationship.
- Oversee accurate completion of detailed Incident Reports, Daily Logs, and resident violations.
- Be flexible/open for extended or fluctuated work hours as required or needed during call-offs or staff shortages.
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manner. Organize and prioritize work effectively. Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned from time to time.
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information or any private documents that you may come in contact with.
- Promote company mission and values at all times.
- Coach employees through complex, difficult, and sometimes emotional issues.
- Participate and support Corporate, site specific, and HR-initiated projects.
- Make any recommendations to improve operational or company-related policies, procedures, and programs.
- The ability to know when a decision needs to be made and having the readiness to make timely, soundly decisions within the supervisor’s abilities.
- The ability to efficiently use computer systems (e.g., PC-based tools, tablets, Microsoft applications, Web-based applications) to input, access, modify, or send information, or to execute programs or analyses.
- The ability to develop and maintain professional trusting, positive working relationships with clients, employees, peers, and department managers.
- The ability and willingness to implement, uphold, and enforce ethical standards, and implement and comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and company policies and procedures.
- The ability to work independently while staying focused on tasks and achieving goals with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of Company policies and procedures, and the ability to implement them, as well as to instruct others regarding procedures for proper compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of security experience in a supervisory capacity
- Have a valid Arizona Unarmed Security Guard License
- Must possess excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent de-escalation and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Must be authorized to legally work in the United States.
- Possess the minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Possess excellent telephone etiquette.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal form.
- Must have competent ability to efficiently use computer and tablet.
- Software knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
