Crisis Call Services Overview
- 24/7 Support: Provide round-the-clock assistance for individuals in crisis.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer Calls: Respond to crisis calls promptly.
- Risk Assessment: Assess suicide risk and immediate care needs using the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS).
- Coordinate Care: Direct callers to the appropriate level of care.
- Schedule Appointments: Arrange urgent and routine appointments.
- Connect to Services: Link callers to community resources and services.
- Track Details: Maintain logs of call details, including demographics and outcomes.
- Crisis Coordination: Work with crisis response teams for effective care.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years in healthcare, mental health, substance use, or human services.
- Experience in psychiatric hospitals or crisis response preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Epic preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance.
- Availability:
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
