PC Imaging and Repair Technician - Quantum Computer Solutions

Position: PC Imaging and Repair Technician

Location: Largo, FL

Compensation: $15+ per hour, based on experience

Employment type: Full-Time

Position Summary: Responsible for staging and imaging Dell PCs, via standard operating procedure. PCs will then be driven/delivered and setup throughout Pinellas County.

Responsible for repairing Dell laptop PCs which have failed under warranty and also may have been physically damaged. Position entails replacing broken laptop parts with new and/or used working parts. Common repairs include: laptop screens, palm rests, hinge, casing, motherboard and hard drives / SSD replacements.

Responsible for working with clients via phone, email and ticketing system and escalating issues to sales, management, or tier 2 support when necessary. Onsite customer site visits required.

Core Responsibilities / Duties:

• Unboxing, inventorying and warehousing PCs
• Imaging new PCs on a recurring, timely basis
• Loading, driving, delivering and setting up new PCs at Client Sites
• Repairing broken laptops on a timely basis
• Communicating with clients verbally and written on repair status
• Working assigned repairs/tickets in a priority order
• Keeping tickets updated daily
• High level of communication with clients and colleagues
• Training Initiatives

Requirements:

• Able to operate a forklift, or willing to learn
• Experience replacing/repairing hardware on laptops and desktops
• Familiarity with the inner components that make up laptops and desktops
• Ability to clearly communicate instructions written and verbally.
• Degree in related IT field is desired but not required.
• A well-rounded knowledge of IT
  • A+ certification is desired, but not required
  • DELL technician certifications and testing may be required
• Act in a mature and professional manner towards clients, vendors and other QCS employees at all times.
• Possess valid Florida drivers' license and have access to a good working car.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. (ex. PC's, Server's, Printers)

• Must clear Level 2 Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Background check
