About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical-Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** 19:00-07:30 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required **License:** Pending state license review considered **Certifications:** ACLS **Must-Have:** Epic experience required **Job Description:** - Nurses in this unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients. - Manage conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, and multi-system organ dysfunction. - Provide care for endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. - Must be competent in the care of both medical and surgical populations. - Must be skilled in advanced hemodynamics, including pressor usage as per titration protocols. - Experience with antihypertensive, sedative, Narcan, and thrombo-embolytic drips is necessary. - Must manage arterial lines, central venous pressure, external ventricular drains, and orthopedic traction. - Adhere to infection prevention protocols. - Experience with High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPap/CPap, and oxygen-dependent care is essential. - Nurses with large-scale adult Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and community hospital ICU experience excel in this environment. - Average patient load is 3 high acuity patients. - Block scheduling will not be approved for Monday through Wednesday but will accept weekend track schedules.
