JOB TITLE: Planetree Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Human Resources Officer
JOB SUMMARY
The Planetree Coordinator will promote and integrate the Planetree philosophy of Person-Centered Care (PCC) throughout Cody Regional Health in tandem with HCAHPS. This position is responsible to understand the concept, and how it affects increased staff retention, and improved patient and family engagement. The Coordinator is responsible to facilitate the Planetree Retreat for new employees. Works with Directors to help establish connection and engagement concepts for the new employee. Acts as an employee liaison for new employees to ensure they are welcomed and understand the culture of Cody Regional Health. This position will assist with the patient experience and analysis of patient comments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service, oral and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Strong keyboarding & computer skills, and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
EXPERIENCE
Two years of experience in healthcare customer service preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in relevant area of study preferred or equivalent experience in an office setting.
SKILLS
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Familiarity with the use of projection screens and presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Outgoing and social. Comfortable talking and interacting with people in varied settings and moods.
- Able to work with diverse patient and employee populations.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information in all matters.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Confident public speaking skills with the ability to successfully present information to both small and large group formats.
- Ability to support and/or lead meetings including scheduling, agenda, minutes and communication.
- Must have ability to effectively communicate with staff and public in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- Must be motivated and organized.
- Must display thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with human resource policies.
- Strong computer/keyboarding skills

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Clean and current Driver’s License
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as a liaison between Planetree and Cody Regional Health as a means to improve both the patient and employee experience and achieve the greater goal of Person Centered Care throughout the organization.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement innovative Planetree employee retention strategies for CRH.
- Coordinate all Planetree meetings and programs, including program/meeting scheduling, minute-taking and sharing.
- Assist with the coordination of new employee orientation by working collaboratively with Recruiting, Human Resources, Employee Health, the Clinical Educator, and the various departments involved in the onboarding process.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule employee events including Planetree Retreats (new employee introduction to the program) across the organization within the employee’s first 90 days of hire. This requires communication with the Directors, in advance, to schedule their employees ‘off’ shift to ensure they attend the required Planetree Retreat.
- Plan, coordinate and schedule ‘Living the Mission’ events and other employee recognition programs.
- Collect employee feedback.
- Share data and brainstorming with the Organizational Culture Committee (OCC).
- Collaborate with the Benefits Coordinator to improve employee benefits.
- Work with clinical Department Directors to review and analyze HCAHPS results as provided by Press Ganey. Implement best practices as recommended by Planetree to improve HCAHPS metrics as a means to improve patient satisfaction.
- Review and analyze patient comments for experience improvement opportunities. Work with department managers on improvement projects
- Complete and submit documents needed for the Planetree annual assessments, site visitations and designation application.
- Work with Marketing to develop and display Planetree related posters, flyers, and banners for the Employee Portal. Record and report activities, stories, and outcomes related to PCC.
- Maintain all Planetree supplies. Order and prepare, in advance of each program, the necessary supplies to deliver each program, training or workshop.
- Possess personal qualities of empathy, respect, compassion, understanding, good judgment, integrity, helpfulness and friendliness.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
As a member of the Human Resources Department, demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with and contribute to the HR team for various projects, tasks and initiatives that may not be directly related to the Planetree initiatives, but are important to the HR Department in general.
