Job Description:

Medtronic is seeking an experienced PLC Engineer for a Controls and Automation role at its North Haven, CT facility. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC systems and SCADA design, along with advanced troubleshooting skills and knowledge of industrial networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• PLC Programming: Develop and modify programs using Allen-Bradley Logix.
• HMI/SCADA Design: Create and maintain HMI and SCADA systems with FactoryTalk View.
• Industrial Networks: Configure and troubleshoot EtherNet/IP networks.
• VFDs: Work with Variable Frequency Drives and system interfaces.
• Drawings & CAD: Interpret Process & Instrumentation, Electrical, and Logic Diagrams; use CAD software.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical system issues.
• Technical Writing: Prepare reports and communicate effectively.

Required Skills:

• 7-10 years of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley Logix).
• 5 years of HMI/SCADA design (FactoryTalk View).
• Familiarity with EtherNet/IP networks.
• Knowledge of VFDs and system interfaces.
• Experience with low-voltage electrical design.
• Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in CAD.
