About the Job
The Insurance Specialist, reporting to the Office Manager, is responsible for clerical and support tasks in the office and provides assistance in the overall operation of the office. Performs diverse secretarial activities, including reception, heavy phone contact, insurance issues, filing and clerical duties, much of which is confidential in nature. Provides for total customer satisfaction; may engage in frequent contact with staff, visitors and vendors. |

High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree
preferred.Excellent verbal communication skills, good
organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines.Experience with Data Processing required.
Familiar with MS Office Systems (word/Excel)
preferred.Ability to read, write and communicate in English
required.Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid,
commercial, HMO and other third-party payor systems preferred.
Two to Three (2-3) years clerical
experience in a physician’s office, Physical Medicine office or similar health
care setting preferred.
