Housing & Food Services (HFS) supports over 10,000 student residents and operates 40+ dining locations on campus. With a team of over 1,200 staff and students, HFS is dedicated to enhancing student life through teamwork and excellent service.

**POSITION PURPOSE**
Provide specialized support to UW Dining, including enhancement and execution of employee training programs, policy compliance and quality assurance for dining operations. Support staff and coordinate the operation of specialized and technical programs. Coordinate centralized programs managed by the UW Dining Administration Office to support operations including training, audits, implementation and review of programs to ensure consistency with program
and departmental goals.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Onboarding, Training & Development:
+ Support program development and coordinate implementation of training programs for all UW Dining employees.
+ Collaborate with HFS and external groups to ensure department and university best practices are reflected.
+ Research and organize training opportunities, design and coordinate unit-specific training sessions as needed.
+ Lead large orientation sessions and facilitate recurring new employee orientation trainings for student employees, classified and professional staff.
+ In partnership with HFS IT and UW Dining Systems, provide technical support /act as go- between operators for the shift-planning scheduler, Humanity; responsible for maintaining the UW Dining Humanity User Guide and sends recurring reminder to operators for membership cleanup.
+ Update printed and electronic training materials for staff.
+ Oversee recordkeeping and notification process for employee training and compliance.
+ Research and work with stakeholders to improve process efficiency and systems.
+ Implement new programs developed by the UW Dining Admin office. Maintain programs that fall within the scope of this position.
+ Review existing UW Dining programs and provide recommendations for enhancements and/or
+ Identify new and enhance current partnershipsQuality Assurance and Brand Standards:
+ Support activities in relation to Housing and Food Services' established goals and objectives including researching, collecting and preparing information and reports.
+ Work with supervisor, culinary leadership, Dining Administration and ComMar to develop and implement QA requirements to ensure brand standards for UW Dining
+ Program Coordinator, Operations Support, UW Dining Administration Office venues including HFS-branded locations such as ETC. and DUB Street are consistent and meet or exceed program standards.
+ Use the StarbucksĀ© branded solutions guidelines to audit locations and ensure that operations meet brand standards.
+ Coordinate, schedule and monitor program activities to determine consistency with program goals.Cyclic and Non-Cyclic Assignment Process:
+ Coordinate drafting, distribution and tracking of letters to UW Dining classified staff indicating Cyclic Year and Non-Cyclic Assignments.
+ Facilitate communication to help meet operational needs and follow union guidelines.
+ Identify efficiencies to support cyclic and non-cyclic processes.Administrative & Operations Support:
+ Coordinate CAAMS review, updates to hours of operation and bank schedules.
+ Serve as key resource for UW Dining centralized operational needs by providing relevant information and/or helping facilitate communication to appropriate individuals or organizations.
+ Participate in various UW Dining Administration operational projects.
+ Gather information and data, and assist with the preparation of reports related to departmental initiatives, projects and/or assessments of current or future operational needs.
+ Edit and maintain policies and procedures documents pertaining to UW Dining, ensuring that the most up-to-date versions are available for UW Dining staff to reference.
+ Devise new work procedures and methods to meet operational needs as directed.
+ Edit materials and identify areas in need of corrections.
+ Respond to general inquiries regarding UW Dining operations.
+ Attend meetings regarding UW Dining's operations.
+ Support UW Dining Administration reception as needed.
+ Perform word processing tasks such as merging and sorting, creating and manipulating spreadsheet and database files, and uploading and downloading reports.
+ Coordinate special projects and events as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. **POSITION DIMENSIONS** The position will involve onboarding staff, ensure program compliance, devising and implementing new procedures-demonstrating an ability to provide independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations. Additionally, the position interacts with a diverse group of internal and external customers where clear and expedient communication and action are required. The position works in an office and must also be able to function in kitchen and retail environments where there is noise, heat and humidity. The position works independently and must be able to establish priorities and know when to escalate problems to supervisor. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
+ High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience providing administrative support in the food industry OR equivalent education/experience. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Experience working in a college or university.
+ Experience and references that demonstrate ability to train staff, audit programs, adapt to new software and web applications.
+ Experience and references that demonstrate success in using a content manager to post information to websites
+ Success adapting to new software and web-based applications
+ Successful experience with Microsoft products including: Microsoft Outlook - Advanced level experience scheduling meetings and events, provide calendar support for Dining leadership, manage incoming and outgoing email communication; Microsoft Word - Intermediate level experience to create mail merge documents and templates and departmental communications; Microsoft Excel - Intermediate level experience to create worksheets for tracking data, importing and exporting data; Microsoft PowerPoint - Intermediate level experience to assist with creating presentations from templates.
+ Successful experience multi-tasking and prioritizing workload in a high-volume, varied business environment.
+ One year of experience providing customer service and communicate in person, on the phone and in writing.
+ One year of experience working both independently and within large, complex teams.
+ One year of experience interpreting, applying and explaining complex rules and procedures within a diverse environment. **CONDITITONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
+ A satisfactory outcome from a criminal background check is required prior to hire.
