Position Overview:
The General Manager (GM) at PXG Retail Stores is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences through custom club fittings and apparel sales. The GM will lead their team to meet and exceed sales targets, ensure operational excellence, and maintain the highest standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Custom Club Fitting & Sales:
- Oversee the custom club fitting process, ensuring that customers receive personalized service tailored to their individual needs.
- Work closely with club fitters to stay updated on the latest PXG products, fitting technologies, and industry trends.
- Drive sales of custom clubs and accessories, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Apparel Sales & Merchandising:
- Manage the apparel sales segment, including seasonal launches, inventory management, and merchandising strategies.
- Ensure that the store’s apparel offerings are aligned with customer preferences and brand standards.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to maximize revenue.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure that every customer interaction reflects PXG’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Implement and maintain customer service standards that exceed expectations.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and compliance with company policies.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage store budgets, control expenses, and optimize profitability.
- Brand Representation:
- Serve as a brand ambassador for PXG, embodying the company’s values and ethos.
- Ensure that the store’s visual presentation, product displays, and customer interactions are consistent with PXG’s premium brand image.
- Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with local golf communities, influencers, and organizations to drive store traffic and brand awareness.
- Plan and execute in-store events, product launches, and promotional activities.
Job Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of driving sales and achieving targets.
- In-depth knowledge of custom club fitting processes, golf equipment, and apparel trends.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues and build lasting relationships.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in retail management software and MS Office applications.
Job Skills Preferred:
- Golf industry contacts and a solid network encouraged.
- Strong passion and love for the game of golf.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM/sales database experience helpful.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as applicable.

Education:

Years of Experience:
- 5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the golf industry.
Travel:
- This position may require occasional road travel.
Compensation: $80,000 plus commissions (In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.)

Work Environment:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions:
This position works both in an office and golf course/club environment. Must be able to bend, crouch, sit, and stand for multiple hours each day. This position may require travel and Mobile Fitting. Ability to lift a maximum of 30 lbs.
