PACKAGING & ASSEMBLY - 2nd Candidate Requested
The candidate will assist in the testing process and remove prepackaged items, unpack them, and reassemble them so that the test can be run multiple times.
This is not a fast-paced or heavy-duty position. There may be downtime between tests, so the person should be prepared.
A test machine packaging and assembly job may involve a variety of tasks, including:
- Operating machines: Starting and stopping machines, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Preparing products: Sorting, grading, weighing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet specifications
- Packaging: Applying labels, using packaging materials like glue and padding, and boxing items
- Maintaining records: Keeping track of materials and preparing progress reports
- Quality control: Identifying and disposing of defective items, and reporting quality issues to supervisors
- Safety: Following safety regulations and ensuring the work area is clean
- Communicating: Communicating with supervisors about irregularities and malfunctions
- Documenting: Documenting process changes and presenting project status to the team
