Painter & Powder Coater at Micro Tech

• Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with cleaning, degreasing, surface preparation, masking, painting, and powder coating operations.
• Ability to clean, degrease or prepare parts as needed.
• Familiarity with painting common alloy steels (both stainless and cold-rolled) and aluminum materials and assemblies up to ¼” thicknesses, typical.

Demonstrated ability to setup both powder coating and paint spray equipment, exhaust systems, and thickness/adherence controls.

• Experience reading drawings and blueprints, and setup of welding equipment and parts to ensure tolerances are maintained.
• Ability to use hand measuring equipment and gauges to inspect parts to ensure conformance to customer requirements and specifications.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills are required. SMI will invest in training the right person who wants to advance in their career.
