We’re hiring: A Panel Designer
Cummings has grown this year by adding 300 committed new hires to our family... and the number is growing! We support our services, construction, and manufacturing businesses by hiring electricians, project managers, service account managers, engineers, estimators, and designers, among others. The Panel Designer will be an integral part of the organization. A Panel Designer must have extensive knowledge in panel design using AutoCAD to create production drawings for industrial control panels. Experience using AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.

Responsibilities:Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:
- Collaborates with Strategic Account Managers, Project Managers, and project team members to design industrial control panels.
- Reads and interprets customer diagrams and documentation and communicates with project team to understand objectives and preferences.
- Uses AutoCAD Electrical to perform updates to PLC module and electrical drawings based on markups in accordance with company and customer standards.
- Performs updates to panel layout and detail drawings based on markups in accordance with company and customer standards.
- Confer with engineering staff, manufacturing staff and other personnel to resolve problems.
- Develops PLC module and electrical drawings.
- Develops panel layout and detail drawings.
- Develops BOMs and interpret vendor cut sheets to determine functionality of components.
- Performs panel power and heat calculations.
- Provides guidance and assistance to other designers and drafters.
- Provides guidance and assistance to production on all aspects of the panel design.
- Assist project team with site visits to determine panel design requirements.
- Assist project team in completion of panel design request forms.

Compensation: 50-100K Annually (Compensation will be commensurate with experience)
