Paralegal (Foreclosure) - Kelley Kronenberg

Our Foreclosure team located in our Fort Lauderdale headquarters is in need of a skilled Paralegal. Our firm offers competitive benefits and a work environment lauded by the Florida Sun-Sentinel! This Paralegal will support Mortgage Default attorneys and paralegals in the course of their work, which often involves contested mortgage foreclosure litigation and title examination. Responsibilies include but are noit limited to:  

1. Maintaining attorneys’ calendars.
   
2. Receiving and screening all incoming calls for Partner(s).
   
3. Scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, and examinations under oath.
   
4. Coordinating with judges, opposing counsel, client, and other legal positions in case.
   
5. Calendaring deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and examinations under oath.
   
6. E-Filing via E-Portal and E-Service to opposing counsel.
   
7. Tracking and recording documents produced in response to agencies’ request for
   documents
   
8. Drafting correspondences, form pleadings, basic motions, and notices.
   
9. Ensuring all deadlines are met.
   
10. Other administrative tasks as requested by the unit’s paralegals and attorneys.
    
11. Updating client systems (both BKFS/Tempo)
    
12. Ensuring all “active” matters has a status entry no less than thirty (30) days old.

Qualifications: 

1. 3 years of related foreclosure or bankruptcy experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. MS Office Suite Knowledge a must
3. Aderant Total Office (ATO) knowledge a plus.
