About the Job
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Seasonal Event Parking Manager. As the manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all parking operations and ensuring efficient and smooth traffic flow during our busy event season. You will work closely with a team of parking attendants and coordinate parking logistics to provide exceptional customer service to event attendees. This is a seasonal position, typically lasting for the duration of our event season.
Responsibilities:
Parking Operations Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all parking operations for our Scream Park.
- Develop comprehensive parking plans, considering available space, traffic patterns, and event attendance projections.
- Implement strategies to optimize parking capacity, minimize congestion, and ensure smooth traffic flow.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and retain a team of parking attendants to provide efficient and courteous service to event attendees.
- Schedule and assign duties to parking attendants, ensuring adequate coverage for all open nights.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance or disciplinary issues that may arise.
Customer Service:
- Ensure excellent customer service by training staff on proper communication and problem-solving techniques.
- Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Address any parking-related issues or concerns raised by event attendees in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Equipment and Logistics:
- Coordinate the procurement, maintenance, and inventory management of parking equipment, such as safety equipment, signage, and barricades.
- Collaborate with other departments or external vendors to facilitate the efficient movement of vehicles and people.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant parking laws, regulations, and permits.
- Monitor parking areas for any safety hazards or potential risks, promptly taking corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in parking management or a related field, preferably in a fast-paced event environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using parking management software and related technology.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Knowledge of local parking regulations and traffic management practices is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
