Temporary Position - $15/hour
This position promotes independence and integrity and the application of logic, problem solving skills, and effective communication. The major impact of this position is its ability to effectively support program functions and provide a friendly and professional environment to staff and the general public.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Performs all general receptionist duties, including responding to general inquiries on programs and services available throughout the various departments.
Perform professionally during interaction with the general public and provide high-quality customer service.
Greet persons entering the establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, direct them to appropriate destinations.
Answer, screen, and forward telephone calls, take messages, and schedule appointments.
Monitor visitor log to ensure that all visitors sign-in and out.
Provide general clerical support and programmatic assistance including preparing folders for intake and addressing envelopes for mailing.
Perform routine file management functions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other staff members, community groups, other governmental agencies, and the general public.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required.
Proficient customer service and interpersonal skills required.
