Part Time Staff Accountant – Mostly remote in Harpers Ferry, WV

About the Company and Part Time Staff Accountant Opportunity:

• CFS is working with a new non profit client to find a Part Time Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity for the next 2-3+ months
• The Staff Accountant will work with a small, welcoming, and passionate team. Leadership enjoys mentoring and coaching employees
• Schedule: Hybrid work schedule (2 days work from home, 1 day in office after training) Tuesday-Thursday, 8:30am-4pm (7 hour work day)
• Pay: $30-37/hour depending on experience
• Reports to the CFO

• Assist with backlog of bank reconciliations
• Perform grant reconciliations
• Post cash receipts from multiple sources
• Maintain general ledger
• Process membership dues
• Support AP and payroll processes
• Work with engagement team to process donations and gifts

Qualifications for the Part Time Staff Accountant:

• 2+ years' related experience in accounting required
• Non profit accounting experience highly preferred
  • Understanding of restricted funds and donations
  • Fund accounting experience beneficial
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP system highly preferred
• Proficient with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, importing/exporting, etc.)
