We are looking for a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, along with a deep understanding of applied behavior analysis principles. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans for individuals with behavioral challenges, often focusing on those with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental conditions. Your duties include conducting functional behavior assessments, analyzing data to track progress, training and supervising behavior technicians, and collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective interventions. Your ability to build rapport with clients, maintain detailed and accurate documentation, and adapt strategies based on each individual’s needs will be crucial in promoting positive behavioral outcomes and improving the quality of life for those you serve.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years supervision and/or teaching experience with students with exceptional needs
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate
- Master's Degree in Psychology or Special Education
- Certification as a BCaBA therapist or higher
- Must hold current teaching certificate for special education and issued by the Arizona State Department of Education
- Evidence of behavioral training and experience working with students who are on the autism spectrum, are identified with an emotional disturbance, or exhibit behavioral challenges.
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between schools
- Knowledge of function based intervention planning for developing behavior change strategies that focuses on reducing problem behavior and increasing more appropriate behavior
- Knowledge of techniques needed to successfully complete effective Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), function-based interventions and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
- Knowledge in the use of assessment and assessment data to inform instruction and prescribe work plans for individual students
- Expert knowledge in research based instructional strategies and ability to implement them effectively. Exceptional knowledge in the use of technology to support instruction
