Overview & Responsibilities

This is a Partner level role within our Banking consulting business unit. They focus on providing solutions that help clients re-imagine and transform their businesses. With our deep industry expertise, business process understanding, and technology prowess complemented with a set of accelerators and frameworks, we help clients respond rapidly to the dynamic business environment today and also help our clients thrive in today’s digital world.

The role as Client Engagement Partner for Cards & Payments will lead growth of the consulting business across strategic account(s) by leveraging both existing & emerging capabilities, in addition to creating new strategic growth areas to deliver significant profitable growth for the accounts and consulting globally. The role holder is expected to grow the portfolio of services and C-level relationships, which would also enable growth of other Wipro services. The Client Engagement Partner will be a key partner in driving account level strategy, with other leaders across the account.

Areas of focus

1. Growth: Work with the Banking leadership team and account sales teams to agree and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow Wipro’s Cards & Payments business in the account
2. Relationships: As a Partner you bring a significant external network within the Cards & Payments arena that you can leverage to provide Wipro with business development opportunities. You also possess the ability to quickly forge constructive internal relationships within and across multiple Wipro practices ensuring we can take a truly ‘One Wipro’ approach to our clients.
3. Solutions: You will be a good ‘shaper’, able to pull together the best of what Wipro can offer to drive innovative solutions to client problems.
4. Team Building: Initially you will look to leverage the broader consulting capabilities within region, as well as our substantial offshore presence. As pipeline grows and Wipro becomes more successful further onsite capability could be added to support your growth aspirations.

Experience & Skills required

Develop Business, Sell & Deliver

1. Big picture orientation, conceiving effective strategies to drive growth across the region
2. Outstanding leadership, communication, relationship building, and networking skills on the client side, ecosystem partners, and internal organization
3. Successful in generating consulting business from new and existing accounts and have the capability to drive and lead customer relationships into multimillion-dollar engagements.
4. Bring a self-sufficient approach that will be both pro-active in driving business development opportunities as well as effective at creating personal utilization in our ‘seller-deliverer’ operating model (after a period of embedding)
5. Delivery and program expertise with experience in handling multi-shore consulting projects with distributed teams delivering sustainable customer value.

Driving Transformation

1. The individual must be an ambassador for Digital Adoption and Digital Transformation for the Cards & Payments industry.
2. Significant transformation proposition definition and engagement shaping using core and disruptive technologies to solve business problems for tangible business benefits at large enterprise clients
3. Influential internal change agent with gravitas and business building mindset
4. Ability to drive and lead the strategic execution, manage change, build relationships with clients, partners, motivate teams and achieve results
5. Bring strong programme and consulting disciplines (e.g. Project / Programme Management, Storytelling, Executive Communications, Commercial disciplines etc.)
6. Possess a good working knowledge, in depth in areas, of common industry solutions (such as: CARDS = VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, etc; PAYMENTS = Payment Advisory, Payments Service Providers, Payment Hub Solution, Real Time Payments, ISO 20022, Gateways, Payments Architecture, Compliance and Processing)

3. Execution of organisational people strategy with strong collaboration from HR and Recruitment leads

Thought Leadership

1. Strong local domain knowledge and experience of developing and delivering strategic business and transformative initiatives with a significant focus on Digital and Data within Insurance
2. Brings own opinion on the key issues facing banks and financial services across the region and able to demonstrate how they have leveraged this in a collaborative environment to develop points of views and propositions
3. Ability to converse with industry leaders, analysts on trends within the Cards & Payments market
4. Proactively propose solutions, investment decisions along with published artifacts, industry speakerships, analyst interactions etc
5. Internal content and offerings creator, writes publications, blogs, and whitepapers
6. Utilises social media effectively with their digital presence to enhance the Wipro brand presence.
