About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieves (pulls) purchased parts from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory determines availability, prepare parts requisition, and submit order as required.
- Stock incoming inventory in the correct location.
- Keeps accurate records of special-order parts Accurately price parts and accessories.
- Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
- Maintain the parts department in clean and orderly manner.
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Verify "will call" and "back-order" files weekly and return to vendors, or stock those items not required.
- Receives and ships parts in accordance with company policies; hazmat and/or dangerous goods certifications.
- Evaluates service drive when performing Service Advisor duties to understand parts needed for repairs in process and incoming through the service drive.
- Ensures all parts entering and exiting the Parts Department are accounted for and processed in accordance with company policies.
- Maintains inventory on shelves and in bins by reporting items needing to be reordered, identifying any discrepancies in stock levels, and returning unsold items to stock.
- Ensures that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from Warranty Parts Returns.
- Follows up on customer concerns and complaints promptly (inter-departmental orders)
- Completes all documents, forms, and reports in accordance with company policy.
- Attends pertinent training on request.
- Creates RO's based on notes of concerns/ issues on vehicles from BMW FS representatives.
- Assembles and sends estimates of customer pay repairs to BMW FS for approval.
- Works with BMW FS and their coordinating auction assistant to prioritize the flow of vehicles into the shop.
- Finalize repair notes in the auction's computer systems so that BMW FS and auction personnel may track repair status.
- Review vehicle findings with technicians to determine Warranty eligibility and prioritize order of repairs based on understanding of BMW FS's vehicle notes and vehicle's residual value.
- In support of BMW of North America's business objectives, this position requires regular, full-time attendance at a BMW facility.

The pay range for this role is: $44,348.00-$50,697.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- High School or equivalent
- 2-3-year Parts department retail or warehouse inventory control experience
Preferences:
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, general computer knowledge)
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- Ability to confront and resolve difficult customer service situations
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- General knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle mechanical operations
