In addition, the Parts Manager oversees activities throughout the branch as part of the store management team
The Parts Manager will be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the parts department
This role makes process improvement recommendations with respect to the best interest of the parts department.Position Responsibilities:Assigns daily tasks to department employeesAssists with all parts department functions as needed, including assisting customers or technicians with acquiring parts, answering department phone calls, shipping, and receivingPrepares staff work schedules to ensure the department is staffed at all timesMonitors inventory levels of parts on hand and adjusts items and quantities stocked as demand changesReviews automatically generated parts orders and orders partsReturns parts to manufacturersInvestigates and resolves discrepancies in parts inventoryLooks up pricing and availability of parts requested by other departmentsReviews financial reports and takes corrective action if goals are not being metSupervises parts department employees, including interviewing candidates, training, evaluating performance, and communicating department and company informationParticipates in Saturday parts counter rotation scheduleRequirements:Education & Experience:Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience leading a parts or service departmentFriendly, positive attitude, a sense of urgency, and the ability to multi-task and solve problems.Demonstrated leadership skills, basic math skills, customer service skills and sales skillsGood communication and problem-solving skills, including conflict resolutionComputer/data entry skills (Outlook, Word and Excel)Good working knowledge of inventory control functionsAbility to operate a forklift.Knowledge of construction/agriculture parts preferredBase Pay Range: $22.29 - 32.70Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience
