Hiring Range: $22.32 to $27.90
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Pay Grade: 109
Full Pay Range: $22.32 to $33.48

Position Summary:
Manages and maintains inventory, source parts for City of Prescott Fleet vehicles and document parts usage through the RTA management software.
Essential Duties:
- Research and source a variety of automotive and heavy equipment parts as requested by fleet personnel (i.e. light duty passenger vehicles, first responder vehicles, dump trucks, street sweeper, refuge trucks, etc.)
- Accurately track maintain and document parts usage through the RTA fleet management system
- Perform inventory checks on any stock parts issued, as well as received to accurately track, maintain, and record inventory levels through the fleet management system (RTA)
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; The idea candidate would have three (3) years of full time automotive or equipment parts experience in ordering, inventory, dispensing, or closely related work; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Licensing, Certification, and Other Requirements:
Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license with appropriate endorsements.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Knowledge of establishing and maintaining automotive, diesel, and equipment stock parts; conducting annual and interim inventories; and reconciling of billings
- Knowledge of cost reporting using specific parameters as required at the time
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals (RTA Fleet Maintenance, Word and Excel preferred)
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health practices and procedures related to the stocking of automotive equipment and supplies
- Knowledge of the environmental rules, regulations, and guidelines related to the storage of automotive supplies and parts
- Knowledge of mathematics, basic accounting, and business practices and methods
- Skill in ordering, receiving, and stocking automotive parts and supplies electronically
- Skill in accurately entering, updating, and maintaining computerized databases and inventory
- Skill in applying customer service techniques/public relations practices when responding to inquiries and complaints
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with government officials, City employees, vendors, suppliers, and City residents
- Ability to quickly and effectively obtain automotive parts and supplies from vendors
Physical Demands And Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, storeroom, and occasionally in the field
- Lifts/pushes/pulls 50 pounds routinely
- Safely operates required equipment and City vehicle as needed
- Clearly, concisely, and effectively communicates both in person and over the telephone
- Work is performed in a dynamic environment that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities, and needs
