Patient Care Technician - Tower Health

• Responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
• Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient.
• Perform observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
• Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).
• Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including, but not limited to general hygiene of the patient, changings, light housekeeping, and patient vitals.

Med/Surg, PCU, Telemetry, Ortho Units:

We are the designated stroke hospital with a TPA administration within 45 minutes of arrival. With an 30 Bed Med/Surg unit. We have an average daily census of 30 patients. The Pottstown Med/Surg has 2 floors to support our adult to geriatric patients. They see a wide variety of patients from Cardiac Comorbitites,DVT, Sepsis,Pneumonia, and Post Op Care.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience

• Prior direct patient care experience preferred, but not required for employment.

Certification and Licensure

• BLS Certification
