Patient Clerical Aide - Diverse Lynx

Position : Patient Clerical Aide
Location : 2540 East St, Concord, CA,94520
Duration: 29 weeks contract (Extendable)
Hours: (5-8 hours) Every Thurs/Fri 4p-9p, every other Weds 4p-9p, every other Sat/Sun 7a-330p

• Knowledge of medical terminology through experience or completion of a course.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)

• Patient and Customer Experience
• Greets all visitors to the patient care area, answering questions and providing assistance.
• Facilitates delivery of lab specimens and security of patient belongings.
• Upon admission is responsible for orientating patient to room and providing visitor orientation to family.
• Departmental Operations
• Completes unit-specific daily assignments including daily schedules, timecards, filing, and updating electronic health records.
• Patient Scheduling
• Coordinates scheduling for patient testing and medical procedures.
• Referral and Admission Review
• Assists with admission, discharges, and transfers as directed by the nursing staff.
• Inventory Control
• Orders and organizes storeroom, nursing station and other unit supplies.
• Documentation
• Keeps legal paperwork up-to-date. Ensures 5250's are filled out and served in a timely manner.
