Patient Registrar I - Mary Rutan Hospital

• Job Summary

  • Greets and assists patients upon arrival. Completes pre-registration, onsite registration, and check-in for all appointments. Facilitates all necessary workflows for scheduled and unscheduled patients.

    Performs extensive clerical duties, including but not limited to the following: answers phones, schedules patients, reviews insurance information with patients, verifies health plan benefit coverage and eligibility, and calls to confirm appointments.

• Regulatory Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an office setting or registering patients, preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology, preferred.
• Language Skills
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and keyboarding.
  • Strong attention to details and highly organized.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize by level of importance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance.
