Overview

The Labor and Delivery unit has 6 labor rooms, 1 treatment room, and 2 high risk maternal advanced care beds. There are also 2 designated operating rooms and 2 PACU bays. The unit specializes in labor and delivery of uncomplicated and high-risk pregnancies. The Obstetrical Triage unit consists of 7 triage bays as well as 2 non-stress test chairs. Any patient 16 weeks pregnant or greater to 6 weeks post-partum is seen in OB Triage. Patients are seen for various complaints as well as for iron/blood infusions, and Rhogam injections.

Short Description

This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients.Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital. Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients. Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information topatients and their families using AIDET.Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values to both customer and co-workers. Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.

Experience Required

Computer literate.

Excellent communication and customer service skill.

Some knowledge of medical insurances.

Knowledge of IDX helpful.

Experience in a medical environment strongly preferred.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

License/Certification Requirements

All incumbents must satisfactorily complete a Cooper IDX training program to include: Registration, Scheduling, E-Commerce and FSC
