Working Hours/Days: 8am ? 5pm Monday ? Friday or as required
Overview
Provide technical product support to Altorfer technicians on all paving products that may occur on the machines that we sell and support.
Basic Duties
Assist technicians on assignments through the repair process to ensure timely, cost effective and quality repairs are being completed.
Coordinate and work with Weiler and Caterpillar engineers in resolving product issues.
Conduct Product Problem Management subject matters at monthly store conference calls
Demonstrate leadership skills when working with various technicians and at times customers to support their needs.
Provide occasional customer technical assistance
Represent Altorfer at technical and training update conferences
Assist the training department in developing of all Altorfer’s Paving products training offerings for all employees
Conduct Paving Products classes on current products
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
2-5 plus years of previousexperience on training employees required.
This position will include assisting courses in design and development
Associates of Applied Science degree in Diesel Technology or related field
Strong sense of urgency and strong customer service skills required.
Must have strong organizational & time management skills with the ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.
Some travel is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
This position works in an office and travels to other locations
May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40lbs
May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields) when needed
The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate to low
May intermittently sit at a desk for a period of time to answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email
Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed
30% of travel is required
