A growing company in the healthcare industry with locations located throughout the Southeast US. We are currently growing and looking for a full-time Payroll Administrator at our Headquarters’ office in downtown Amelia Island (Fernandina Beach, FL).
Job Overview & Work Site:
The Payroll Administrator will accurately process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees for the company’s locations. We use a nationally recognized 3rd party payroll system to process payroll and to complete year-end tasks. Understanding and experience with payroll processing,benefit deductions, payroll-related tax, and attendance systems is a must. This is an on-site position (not remote).
Essential Functions:
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential and secure.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Verify timekeeping records and partner with company locations for validation/approval.
- Research and consult with employee supervisors and HR about any payroll related discrepancies.
- Properly notify employees about impending garnishments.
- Responds to employee inquiries concerning payroll related items.
- Record payroll data in our accounting software system and verify all amounts prior to processing payroll.
- Process manual checks as needed.
- Effectively communicate with management and employees regarding payroll items.
- Work closely with accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely integration of payroll entries.
- Maintain compliant policies and procedures related to the preparation and processing of payroll.
- Assist in other accounting and HR functions as needed.

Experience and Education:
- Payroll: At least 2 years of prior experience (Required)
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Accounting or business degree (Preferred)
Computer Software/Hardware:
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Accounting/Payroll Software: Paylocity software experience a plus
