Job Summary:
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations across multiple countries. This role involves ensuring that all US and international employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with local law. The Payroll Analyst will work closely with People, Finance, and our external payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll processing on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of payroll processing for employees across US and multiple countries, including data entry, verification, and reconciliation of payroll data using multiple payroll systems on semi-monthly and monthly schedules.
- Ensure payroll operations comply with US and Canada federal, state/provincial, and local regulations. This includes tax filings, wage and hour laws, and other relevant legislation. Be familiar with or willing to learn payroll requirements in India, Colombia, The Philippines, and Poland.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, respond to employee inquiries about payroll, and ensure timely and accurate resolution of issues.
- Assist with year-end procedures to facilitate internal and external payroll audits by providing required documentation and data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within payroll operations and implement best practices.
- Design and implement payroll processes and employee-facing guides and policies.
- Resolve tax agency notices.
- Run scheduled reports for Finance and People teams and prepare ad-hoc reports as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or 2-4 years of experience in global payroll processing.
- Knowledge of US and Canada federal, state/provincial, and local payroll regulations is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google sheets is required.
- Experience with ADP, Deel, Remote, or other similar payroll engines is highly preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or (FPC) is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work with different time zones.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
