This a full-time position. The hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Under general supervision, Payroll Analyst is responsible for assisting with processing accurate and timely payroll cycle and non-cycle transactions for the hospital. The incumbent will perform a variety of duties to ensure that time and attendance records are properly organized and maintained, and payroll data is properly input, processed and stored accordingly. This position coordinates and consults with the Payroll Manager, Lead, and with members of the Human Resources department to perform functions successfully.
The Payroll Analyst will:
- Reviews and maintains incoming information received from the main Payroll department email box
- Processes edits in the Kronos and Lawson, ensure all timecards are approved, and processes the cycle and non-cycle payroll transactions
- Assists with preparation of annual W-2 wage statements and federal and state filings
- Maintains and processes all court ordered employee garnishments, including responses and releases
- Assists with bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly Federal and State tax payments and filings
- Participates and contributes to Payroll department policy and process improvement initiatives, utilizing company and industry knowledge, as well as state and federal regulations
- Provides customer support to employees and department managers to resolve and payroll related problems or inquiries
- Reviews, processes and inputs employee elections, setup and maintain pay codes, retroactive pay adjustments, bonuses, uniform allowances, etc.; employee deduction refunds and other miscellaneous payroll transactions
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all-inclusive.
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience processing payroll, preferably in a complex/multi-entity or healthcare environment
- Recent Lawson and/or Workday experience preferred.
- College coursework in Accounting preferred
- CPP preferred, but not required
