Role is hybrid (2-3 days in office) based out of our Burlington, MA location.
Assists in preparing and processing weekly payroll for approximately 10,000 employees across multiple business units. The Medical Center utilizes an automated payroll system as well as an automated time and attendance system. The payroll assistant works in both of these environments and must have the ability to adapt quickly to system changes and upgrades.
Job Description:
Audits weekly timesheets for accuracy and compliance with Medical Center policy and procedures, contacts preparers or approvers as appropriate to resolve discrepancies. Works with web based payroll system (PeopleSoft) and time and attendance system (mytime) to produce accurate and timely payroll. Runs reports from the automated time and attendance system (mytime). Works with excel output reports, interprets data and takes action as necessary. Works with payroll reports to calculate and process retroactive salary changes and to pay out appropriate earned time to terminated employees. Prepares special checks upon request. Places stop payments and prepares replacement checks. Folds, stuffs, sorts and distributes checks. Keeps accurate record of employee maintenance records including earnings, deductions and benefits. Resolves employee payroll problems.
