Job Title: Payroll Clerk (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Hybrid in Chester, PA (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
Hours: 35-hour work week, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
Start Date: 11/18
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm
Attire: Business Casual (no jeans or graphic tees)
Reports To: Finance Department Lead
Parking: On-site provided
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for staff, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to uphold service quality and support efficient payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payrolls for support staff, including off-cycle adjustments and supplemental payments.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline payroll workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in payroll data in line with company policies.
- Review and update tax, direct deposit, and other payroll-related documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries, working closely with supervisors to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with payroll policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the electronic time-entry system, assist with training, and update payroll procedures as needed.
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll, wage reports, and employment verifications.
- Lead initiatives on system updates and assess workflow improvements for payroll functions.
Ideal Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of payroll processing experience.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain payroll information to team members.
