About the Job
Position Summary:
Under supervision, works closely with the Payroll Director and HR Director to support human resources administration and payroll processing.
Job Duties:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Director or management as appropriate.
- Will assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Calculating pay: Calculating employee wages and salaries, and withholding taxes and other deductions
- Processing paychecks: Preparing and distributing paychecks, and collecting banking information for direct deposit
- Maintaining and updating HRIS system
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Skill in:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 annually DOE
