About the Job
Major/Essential Functions
- Ability to prepare, analyze, and review documents related to payroll processing, leave reporting, benefits deductions, tax withholding, and reconciliations.
- Provide instruction, advice, and specialized assistance for institutional payroll and tax matters.
- Ability to prepare payroll and tax reports or reconciliations to perform analysis and ensure goals are met and compliance is maintained. This includes researching and presenting viable options to ensure compliance.
- Provide departmental support by teaching, training, and assisting team members in formal and informal settings.
- Update and maintain departmental procedures in the department electronic manual.
- Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment with expectations to complete assigned tasks as well as develop knowledge of departmental processes. This includes assuming additional duties to meet deadlines.
- Exhibit leadership in a positive work culture, complete assigned tasks that meet or exceed expectations, and develop working relationships with department partners.
