Job Description:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for all aspects of payroll with additional responsibilities related to monthly close, 401K and other Human Resources projects for our client.
You will work at their home office in McLean, VA and report to the President and Director of Human resources. All employees begin in-office for 90 days and then this role will shift to a hybrid model with 3 days a week in-office.
You Will:
- Check monthly timesheet and bonus input into Ptelea system.
- Prepare and input payroll data for semi-monthly payrolls in an accurate and timely manner; prepare reports and check requests for all applicable payments associated with payrolls; update payroll check register.
- Prepare monthly GL spreadsheet; prepare monthly employee roster and reports.
- Assist and reset iPay statement for team members.
- Provide customer service to customers related to payroll.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for payroll and benefit accounts.
- Reconcile quarterly and annual tax filings and reports following agency filing requirements.
- Review semi-annual performance bonus payments and process payments in ADP.
- Work on annual budgets for labor costs; update & maintain budget salary spreadsheet.
- Update and maintain Performance Management Raise spreadsheets.
- Administer and maintain ADP database.
- Produce & provide reports for various company projects from ADP, to include annual Total Pay Statements, and people data analytics.
Requirements
You Have:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of payroll and general ledger reconciliation experience; ADP Workforce now experience is a plus.
- Experience with payroll regulations to include FLSA and tax reporting.
