Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in the vibrant hospitality sector. This role will manage payroll for 300-500 employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of both exempt and non-exempt payroll. The ideal candidate will have experience with Ceridian Dayforce and a strong understanding of hospitality payroll practices, including tips and gratuities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for 300-500 employees accurately and efficiently using Ceridian Dayforce.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Manage payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees, including calculations for overtime and tips.
- Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce or similar payroll software.
- Strong understanding of payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including tip calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
