Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8am to 5pm (On-Site)
Annual Salary: $60K to $70K, DOE

Job Overview:
Oversee, manage, and reconcile payroll taxes at both the employer and employee levels. This includes ensuring alignment with the general ledger, Payroll Tax Software, and maintaining compliance throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reconciliations of payroll tax reports following each payroll cycle to ensure accurate submissions (cross-checking Payroll System data with tax filing software).
- Handle the payment processing of payroll taxes on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Prepare and finalize quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Manage federal, state, and local tax filings, including multi-state operations.
- Reconcile payroll taxes with the general ledger and record journal entries accordingly.
- Align payroll reports with 941s, W-2s, and 1099s.
- Investigate, monitor, and respond to tax notices.
- Assist clients with their registration processes.
- Prepare tax amendments as needed.
- Participate in special projects and conduct tax-related research.
- Perform payroll reconciliations with the general ledger.
- Research and reconcile payroll taxes from previous periods.
- Compile and report necessary data to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in payroll tax filings and compliance.
- Strong accounting skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in Excel and the full suite of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Skilled in using Mastertax Software.
- Ability to create clear and informative reconciliations.
- Experience in reconciling and preparing W-2 forms.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively and constructively with management, colleagues, and clients.
