Job Summary:
Summit One Source is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Tax Processing Specialist to join our team. The Tax Processing Specialist's responsibilities include preparing all tax compliance, assisting in tax related projects and tax research. To be successful in this role, the right candidate should be up-to-date on the latest technologies which assist the tax department in their accounting duties along with having great communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Tax Processing Specialist should have strong analytical skills, pay attention to detail, and have the ability to manage their time effectively.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Master Tax and/or isolved Tax experience required.
- Payroll Tax filing experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creating reports and filing them to the appropriate state and federal agencies.
- Yearly filing of W-2's and 1099's.
- Conducting quarterly tax reviews and ensuring all customers stay in compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Preparing federal and state income tax.
- Ensuring that tax returns are filed in accordance with tax authorities.

- None
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years related experience strongly encouraged.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
