About the Job
- Make sure all tax payments are made in a timely manner. Weekly, biweekly, Monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Make sure all returns are filed correctly and timely.
- Completing and filing tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state, and local government entities
- Be able to input data from payroll records into tax return databases depending on the states.
- Be able to identify what clients may have problems based on state regulations.
- Verify all clients complywith tax laws and be proactive in notifying the clients.
- Keep updated records from client quest identification tax number from clients to be able to report to pertinent agencies.
- Communicate clearly with clients using simple explanation about tax notices.
- Be aware of tax updates per state laws and follow instructions on how to update our payroll system.
- Keep up with all tax related updates in iSolvedthroughout the year.
- Be able to understand tax forms, complete those and explain them to the clients.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.
- Great organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Establishes/keeps QE and YE procedures and processes and maintains them in accordance with internal policies.
- Maintains the integrity of the database in coordination with our clients' accounts and data.
- Transmits daily/weekly/etc. files.
- Handling payroll vendors associated with the filing and preparation of payroll tax returns.
- Guarantee that the company is adhering to local, state, and federal tax requirements by carrying out intermittent audits, as well as managing and handling tax records as a TPA.
- Assist, prepare, review, and organize federal and state returns.
- Auditing clients tax returns before and after filing.
- Contacting tax agencies about discrepancies or tax notices
- Ensure compliance with Federal, state, and local tax changes.
- Finding solutions to payroll tax irregularities by gathering and analyzing data.
- Manage filing/payments of tax based on tax code, pay frequency, and filing methods.
- Performing payroll adjustment runs to correct irregularities.
- Able to follow specific instructionsregarding tax payments/returns/filing methods and more.
Must-Haves
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, payroll best practices, and US payroll tax
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, and be organized, thorough, methodical, and able to use critical thinking skills when solving problems and explaining to others.
- Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally and be able to write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondenceregartidn tax issues.
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Skill in evaluating and analyzing technical payroll activities that integrate with the tax process.
- Skill in preparing detailed reports and performing detailed computations for tax reporting purposes.
- Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Energized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
- Excellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities.
- Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Proficient with payroll software, and some other features that integrate with it.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in payroll processing.
