About The Position
ID: 51601028 Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00); Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Description: THIS IS A CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL POSITION PEDIATRIC ICU EXPERIENCE REQUIRED **Traveler must be willing to get flu shot when requested**Required: CA License First to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including ED Will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity BLS PALS 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience (PICU, CTICU, CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL) *for travelers with PICU exp - 15 bed minimum and higher acuity of care across ALL PICU/ICU areas Experience: Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG. Shifts: 3x12 variable or straight night (4-5 weekend shifts sat-sun on day shift and then 5-6 shifts of fri-sat nights traveler gets off one full weekend every 4 week schedule) 13 week contracts Requested Time Off: Max 6 days (Must still get 3 shifts in per week) Must work 2 out of the 3 holidays Patient Population: High acuity unit seeing injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post op cardiac surgical care, **neurosurgery. If they don t have a CA license, please let AM know status of license application upon submission.Accepts locals, same rate, no mileage restrictionsCandidates will float within hospital and for NICU they float satellite locationsPerm staff need to wait a year to be eligible to travelModules completed before start are non-billable (can take traveler 6-8 hours to complete). The hours spent on modules are not billable and do not count as orientation hours. All Orientation hours are billable.For NICU and HomeCare positions, travelers are reimbursed for mileage when driving to any other location, other than their home base facility they signed for at for NICU.Mileage is reimbursed at IRS standard rate.Reimbursement form must be sent in within 30 days of floating with unit manager approval. are non-billable, for RN and Allied 6-8 hours to completeModules are completed pre-start, and are included in NBO hoursModules are recorded via transcripts, transcripts do not record time spent but whether modules are completed Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks:98
