Title and Summary People Specialist Overview: The People Specialist role is part of our People & Capability (P&C) Business Partner team. The People Business Partner team has the primary responsibility for the achievement of business-wide strategic goals and performance through a comprehensive talent strategy touching all aspects of the employee lifecycle and organization design and development. The People Specialist will provide P&C operational support to the People Business Partners across a global portfolio with coordination and delivery of People & Capability activities, programs and projects across the disciplines. Role: • Supports day-to-day aspects of one or more initiatives and projects in workforce planning, rewards, employee engagement and training • Coordinates with P&C service center (GBSC) to ensure an effective service model for employees and managers • Ensures timely coordination and execution of day-to-day activities by working with key stakeholders across the business • Assists on crucial activities including new hire onboarding, off boarding, maintaining employee records, and visa coordination • Creates reports to support programs including measuring the costs and performance of programs • Builds and nurtures cross-functional relationships with employees, People Business Partners and leaders across the business • Develops analytics to report on progress against People & Capability metrics All About You: • Experience working independently on people-related projects and programs (e.g., onboarding, year-end compensation planning, training and development). • Experience in building relationships with employees and managers. • Demonstrated knowledge of P&C policies and annual administrative activities. • Experience identifying people-related challenges and helping to implement solutions. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
